About this artwork
An evanescent landscape with light shades that blend everything, like a fog, quiet and
mysterious. On the horizon only snow and ice that contrast the eruption of the volcano, its lava and the
black powders. Despite the sudden and violent explosion, green shoots of
tender plants that herald the imminent arrival of spring. On the other hand we find small ones in the background
scattered objects like shoes and cups, these tell us the stories of… those who used them; fragments of
stories left unfinished. In the work, however, the various inhabitants are the different mothers and their children; some
they fight against the strength of the river to rescue their offspring, while others rest along the
banks of the river preparing for the future.
