In the silence of this Burgundian cellar, I wanted to capture the soul of the wine and the stone. Using my "Photo Croquée" technique, I patiently sculpted the textures of the centuries-old vaults and the grain of the oak barrels with a stylus.
This photograph is more than just a view of the terroir; it's a tribute to the time that shapes our wines. True to my trio of Time, Inspiration, and Work, I accentuated each contrast so that the twilight… reveals the history of this sacred place. For Singulart, this limited edition of 10 prints on Alu Dibond lends a timeless depth to these whispers of the cellar.
Stéphane Rouillard is a self-taught photographer, passionate about the fusion of digital technology and manual technique, whose artistic education was built on experimentation and observation of urban architecture, particularly in Dijon. He has developed his signature style through digital Neo-Pictorialism with his innovative "Sketchy Photo" technique, a hybrid of photography, drawing, engraving, and graphic arts, oscillating between textured black and white and painterly colors. His works invite sensitive contemplation, revealing the hidden poetry of places and the intimate resonance of light.
