About this artwork
After 150 years of extinction, the wolf returned to Germany in 2000 and has since sparked controversial discussions. With livestock protection measures and the dissemination of knowledge about wolves' way of life, a conflict-free coexistence between wolves and humans is possible even in our densely populated Central Europe. The reintroduction of wolves in Yellowstone National Park in the USA in the 1990s restored the natural balance there.
In this… work, I experimented with acrylic and oil paints, as well as collage techniques, to create an expressiveness that merges the longing, primal power, and wildness of the wolf with the deep intuition of humankind. The intense, fiery colors reflect passion and inner strength. With acrylic and collage, I created a symbolic connection between soul and nature—an expression of return, freedom, and inner awakening that fills every viewer with energy.
