The work "Stone" plays with the viewer's perception and moves at the interface between physicality and abstraction.
At first glance, the curved shape appears like a smoothly polished stone, embedded in a textile environment.
Only upon closer inspection does the organic structure of the skin become apparent, modelled in a subtle light.
The muted color palette and gentle blurring of the surroundings give the image an almost sculptural quality.…
The composition relies on minimalism and reduction in order to bring the materiality and form to the fore.
In this tension between natural physicality and inorganic association, a reflection arises on the perception of forms and the boundaries between nature and art.

Stephan Joachim works in painting, photography and conceptual art and in the theater as a director, stage and costume designer. He has been taking photographs since he was six years old. In recent years, his work has become more artistic, ushering in a new era of style: his work is influenced by nude elements from fine art. He developed a style that combines photographs with paint, gold leaf, shellac, and more. His themes are rooted in fairy tales and legends, creating captivating artistic expressions. His works touch the heart and capture the emotions of the viewer.
His work was awarded at Best Of Photovogue in 2016 and 2018 and he has participated in many exhibitions (including in Lübeck, Munich and Wiesbaden as well as several times at the ARTe art fairs). He has been published in many program books and in the latest issue of "Normal Magazine".
