About this artwork
In this composition constructed by superimposing geometric shapes, I explore the conditions of a rapprochement within a constrained space.
The elements, although fragmented and structured by marked vertical and horizontal lines, enter into a play of correspondences. The curves extend, the colors echo each other, and visual continuities appear where one might expect ruptures.
The circulation of shapes and shades of red, ochre, and blue establishes… an internal, almost fluid movement that traverses the composition without ever erasing its tensions.
The work thus offers a space for negotiation: the forms do not merge, but find points of contact, areas of agreement. Here, I continue my exploration of the notions of connection, passage, and coexistence, in a visual language that is both rigorous and sensitive.
Stéphanie Bardy works primarily with collage, drawing on a rich background spanning Parisian art schools and experience in children's publishing. Her works are contemporary abstract art, with intuitive, graphic compositions that combine the power of geometric shapes with the vibrancy of bold colors. She cuts, assembles, and superimposes each fragment like a musical score, balancing symmetry and freedom. Her art invites contemplation and a silent, personal dialogue, seeking to make the invisible perceptible, while conveying intense emotions and poetry beyond narrative.
