About this artwork
In "Snake," I explore a movement that unfolds slowly through space. The large blue curve meanders between circular forms, skirting around them and seemingly drawing them into its trajectory. The contrasts of color, solids, and voids create a tension between attraction and repulsion. By relating the forms, I seek an unstable equilibrium, like a silent movement whose direction is yet to be predicted.

Stéphanie Bardy works primarily with collage, drawing on a rich background spanning Parisian art schools and experience in children's publishing. Her works are contemporary abstract art, with intuitive, graphic compositions that combine the power of geometric shapes with the vibrancy of bold colors. She cuts, assembles, and superimposes each fragment like a musical score, balancing symmetry and freedom. Her art invites contemplation and a silent, personal dialogue, seeking to make the invisible perceptible, while conveying intense emotions and poetry beyond narrative.
