About this artwork
In this work I explored the depth of the human soul with charcoal.
"In each of us, there is a kind of asceticism, a part directed against ourselves. We are deserts, but populated by tribes, fauna and flora. (...) And all these populations, all these crowds, do not prevent the desert, which is our very asceticism, on the contrary they inhabit it, they pass through it, on it. (...) The desert, the experimentation on oneself, is our only identity,… our unique chance for all the combinations that inhabit us."
