About this artwork
The figure is captured in the moment of rising, not yet upright, still in the act of gesturing. The gash in the center of the chest is unique: the cobalt blue cavity is visible, the white writing is still legible. The trauma hasn't knocked us down, it has opened us up, allowing the observer to glimpse the individual's inner self.

ThaBlueCat, a self-taught Italian visual artist, combines painting, sculpture and symbolic language in his art. He uses techniques such as expressive divisionism and the use of translucent materials such as blue PETG for his sculptures, often backlit to symbolize an internal consciousness.
