About this artwork
"Invigorating" is a work about the quiet revival of life within seemingly rigid structures. The multi-layered textures are reminiscent of sediments, time, and the erosion of forms – yet from within them emerges a luminous green.
Fire, used here as a transformative element, symbolizes not destruction, but rebirth. The cracks and streaks suggest permeability and show how vitality breaks through beneath the surface.
This work invites the viewer to… observe regeneration not only in nature, but also within themselves – wherever light can penetrate, new life begins.

Born in Austria, I discovered my passion for the art of engraving and steel engraving early on, a passion later expanded through the transformative power of fire in my Burningpictures. Using mixed media on linen, wood, and ceramics, I employ fire as a central design element. In my Burningpictures, I reveal the hidden secrets of nature and invite the viewer to experience the ever-changing interplay of light, color, and texture. The fire creates a magical visibility of the invisible—a powerful and liberating transformation.
