About this artwork
In my oil paintings I capture the quiet moments of everyday life. Inspired by a cell phone photo of my daughter on a trip to Asia, I painted these two girls on the bus. The delicate color palette and soft brushstrokes invite calm and self-reflection. I was fascinated by the calmness of the two of them, sleeping soundly while traveling so far away from home. This work brings a touch of contemplation and peaceful silence to any home, inviting viewers…
