About this artwork
I depicted Montmartre as a famous Parisian artists' quarter on a hill. I sketched the numerous buildings and rooftops with acrylic markers and then painted them with oil paint as a second layer. This created a certain lightness and buoyancy in the picture. For me, it reflects the atmosphere of Paris as I experienced it during my trip last spring. The painting brings Parisian flair to any room.
