About this artwork
Here Ulla Kutter has captured a small everyday scene that could be anywhere in a city. The raindrops on the car windshield change the view of the intersection. In the upper area of the image they become blurred and become increasingly contrasting towards the bottom. The urban landscape is reflected in every larger drop. This small picture changes viewing habits and sensitizes us to the small peculiarities that we see without noticing them.
The painter… has created a very intense, small piece of art on self-primed wood. The entire picture is painted in two layers of oil paint which give it brightness and depth.
