« The process of color-sensitive, soft, slow painting contrasts with the speed and indifference of everyday life. I take part of my surroundings and make art out of it. »
The perception of Ulla Kutter's environment is shaped by the focus on disharmonious compositions and their aesthetics. The German painter portrays the broken, chaotic, and shining aspects of everyday life in the city. Through her images, she creates possibilities for different levels of perception. Kutter paints using the traditional techniques of old Dutch masters, using oils on canvas.
