About this artwork
My painting, ‘Perfect Calm’, is largely symbolical, as I have chosen to use trees as metaphors for people: It is intended to show the peace most of us are hoping for in this, our present world, so full of uncertainty, disputes, wars…the majority of us are simply looking for PEACE!, room to thrive in. I have created this work on white canvas, using acrylic paints, the flame coloured waves symbolising all the world’s upsetting events. The haze is intended…
to show how everything is slowly calming down - drifting away to be replaced by calmness after all the turmoil….I hope my heartfelt painting will find a good and appreciative ‘forever home’ with someone who will be able to feel the sense of tranquility I was striving to convey when I painted it.
