About this artwork
My ‘Scandinavian Dream Scene’ is inspired by my Nordic roots and my deep fondness of the nature I was lucky enough to grow up in. Deep pine forests have always been close to my heart, these tall, silent, handsome trees, majestically standing guard year after year. Just the sight of one of these awesome giants is enough to evoke a heavy sense of nostalgia and conjure up happy distant memories, and the haunting fragrance of pine needles is simply…
something one never forgets…in the immediate foreground I have chosen to show forceful water moving rapidly after a cold winter, full of melting snow and ice - the spring sun is rising again..,,I painted this art work on white canvas in almost translucent pastel acrylics. It is based on partly memory, partly fantasy. ULLA 💚
