About this artwork
‘Space’ is the title of this painting, acrylic on canvas, 100x100x2 cm, finished c. 2015, and part of my Series
‘My Dream Cosmos’.
This painting is just one of my many paintings over the years of colourful images related to the cosmos, images forever swirling in my mind. Since my early childhood in Denmark I have always been attracted to and fascinated by the stars - the shimmering jewels in the night sky - first of all in the northernmost part… of Denmark where I grew up in the countryside with huge skies…and the thought of the galaxies, the planets, in fact all ‘heavenly bodies, has been an inspiration to me ever since. (By the way, do you see the angels out there, too?!). These paintings remain mostly undated, my reason being: what is a year when one considers the far bigger picture of eternity?
So this is the background for what ‘gave birth to’ my painting, ‘Space’.
I hope you will love it as much as I do! ULLA 💚
