About this artwork
I painted my painting ‘Scandinavian Reflection. Deep Waters’ based on a for me particularly memorable Scandinavian scenery which I came across many years ago - the reflections of sudden light flickering on the deep, secretive water…a river, where did it come from?, where did it go? Just like with people, one would never really know…anyway, this is what inspired me - now decades later - to create this piece. Painted on white canvas with acrylic…
colours in a cascade of blue hues. The style could be described as contemporary impressionism, at the same time as being part fantasy and deeply symbolic to me. It is my hope that the viewer will experience a bit of the same ‘mystery’ feeling when looking at my painting - and at the same time I also hope it will find its way to ‘a good forever-home’ one day..With Love, ULLA 💚
