About this artwork
This painting was born from a moment of rupture — when everything familiar seemed to collapse, yet light still found a way through. The golden vertical form emerged instinctively, like a force cutting through darkness. It represents that fragile but powerful instant when we break, and through breaking, begin again.
I wanted to capture both destruction and rebirth in one image — the chaos of black and grey colliding with the purity of gold. The rough… textures and layered brushwork reflect how resilience is never smooth; it carries traces of struggle, time, and courage.
For me, this work is about transformation — the moment when pain becomes clarity, and the soul learns to stand in its own light.
