About this artwork
“Distant Memories” was born from a longing I couldn’t name—a quiet pull toward something beautiful yet unreachable. I often find myself drawn to abstracted landscapes that don’t depict any real place but feel emotionally familiar. This piece is one of those dreamscapes.
The red hill and the lone tree represent fragments of memory—sharp, vivid, and grounded—while the blue surrounding them evokes a fog of time, distance, and emotion. The vertical… lines above suggest tall trees or perhaps fading thoughts—slender traces of something that once was.
I wanted to create a space where the viewer could feel the sensation of remembering without clarity, of holding on to warmth through layers of mist. “Distant Memories” is not about any one story; it’s about the feeling of trying to return to a moment that exists now only as emotion.
