In Harbor of Memories, I explore the fragile boundary between remembrance and imagination. The fluid layers of blue and white create an atmosphere of drifting emotion — like clouds moving over the sea, where fragments of memory appear and fade. The lone vertical form in the center, touched with warm red and ochre, represents a remnant of human presence within vast, shifting space — a quiet witness to time’s flow. I wanted to capture the sensation…
of being anchored in emotion while surrounded by constant transformation, where the horizon becomes both an ending and a beginning.

Wei Xue is a self-taught artist with a background in mechanical engineering, working fluidly across painting, sculpture, mixed media, and tactile materials such as linen, burlap, and rice paper.
