*"The Sunny Secret"*
In this painting, I wanted to pay homage to childhood, that time of discovery and wonder. The child is at the heart of the work, with their curious gaze and open heart. The deep blues (cobalt, turquoise) create an aquatic and dreamy world, a cool sanctuary where the child can escape the outside world and take refuge in their imagination.
The child's bright orange sweater represents the joy, energy, and spontaneity of childhood.… It symbolizes innocence and purity, a reminder that childhood is a precious and fragile time. The secret whispered in the ear is a gesture of intimacy, a moment of sharing between the child and their inner world.
The work is a celebration of childhood, an invitation to rediscover the magic and beauty of this period of life. The children, with their serious faces and bright eyes, are the guardians of this secret, the only ones who understand the silent language of childhood.

I am a self-taught visual artist of Cameroonian nationality, I paint the human condition through childhood, resilience, resistance and identity are my favorite themes. My style mixes realism, comic book illustration, narrative figuration and borrowings from art history, creating a dreamlike and emotional universe. Trained at the Kanganyam Viking workshop in Douala, I have been exhibiting around the world since 2009, including a solo at the Sakhile Me gallery in Germany in 2021 with "Stolen Childhood". I represented Cameroon at the 7th Francophone Games in Nice in 2013 and won several awards, including the UNRISD prize in 2023. My works are featured in prestigious collections, such as the Gandur Foundation for Art and the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth. Since 2020, I have been represented by the Sakhile Me gallery based in Frankfurt, Germany.
