About this artwork
With this blue painting I treated myself to something simple: color field painting. I did set myself a small painting challenge: the blue gets slightly darker at the edges of the picture, creating a magical pull. The viewer would like to let themselves fall into this deep blue. Depending on the incidence of light, it appears almost immaterial. If you move in front of the picture, the dark blue changes slightly to violet, like mother of pearl. But…
