About this artwork
As a teenager, I often dreamed of faraway countries and wanted to travel to Africa. Apart from a visit to Mombasa, it remained a dream that I have now made possible through art.
What fascinated me about this diptych was how people adapt to nature through body painting.
The pictures are made using mixed media. I combined pencil and colored pencil drawings with acrylic paints and ink.
