About this artwork
This painting was born from a quiet walk in the park of an old estate, where I noticed the delicate reflection of the sky in a small pond. The surface of the water became a mirror, holding clouds, branches, and subtle colors of nature. It was this fleeting vision of the sky meeting the earth that inspired me to create Reflection.
The slender branches emerging from the pond felt to me like a metaphor for human connections — how people meet, intertwine,… or sometimes remain apart. Through oil on canvas, I sought to capture not only the image of water and sky, but also the stillness, fragility, and hidden emotions within.
The composition balances realism with contemplation: vibrant blues dissolve into soft grays and whites, while fine details of pond plants echo the quiet rhythm of life. This contemporary painting is both a study of nature and an intimate meditation on relationships.
