About this artwork
In this painting, I have captured the impressions I experienced during a hike along the shore of the Baltic Sea. The sheer power of immense clouds hovering over the dark abyss of the water. Using oil paints, I employed a blend of painting techniques infused with impressionistic touches to evoke the fleeting light and textured skies. My aim was to reveal how vibrant and rich in colour a gray, cloudy day can truly be.
