The sound of rustling poplar leaves has always been an important, suggestive, sensual phenomenon for me.I wanted to grab and extract this phenomenon from the natural environment and try to “save” it in an object, an installation. The end result was the sound effect of rustling leaves and the "apparition" of a moving shadow-image. In this “event – construction”, the interactive nature of the “living artwork” appeared for the first time, which the… viewer could thus bring to Life. Also,by contemplating these phenomena, just like watching the slow movement of sea waves, and that of the shadows of poplar leaves, can have a mesmerizing effect and a holy and sacred empact on us: these processes of nature are beautiful symbols of passing and decay, but also of the everlasting change, and by watching them we can suspend our human feelings for death, elevating our Souls to the divine Truth that we are not mere subjects to death, but on the contrary, part of the everlasting Beauty of the Allmighty.
Zsuzsa Sztruhár, a Hungarian fine artist and composer, employs a diverse range of mediums, from painting to sound and kinetic sculpture. Her dynamic applications of metaphysical and ontological conceptualism, blended with traditional painting and sound installation, underscore her technique. Each piece of work, whether it's an interactive sound instrument or an audiovisual installation, encapsulates a tangible heterogeneity. Sztruhár's works embody a mysterious borderline between fine arts and music, stirring emotions associated with the complexity of life's spiritual journey and the poignant beauty of the universe.
