A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - This collection translates the energy of dance into image. Across painting, photography, and mixed media, artists convert rhythm into line, impact into shape, and breath into light. Figurative frames hold balances, turns, and rebounds; abstract works distill cadence as arcs, grids, and chromatic fields. Techniques vary - graphite and ink, impasto and glaze, collage, long exposure, and intentional blur - yet the impulse is shared: to stage motion as form. Close-ups register muscle and tension; wide compositions map pathways, unison, canon, and counterpoint. From poised stillness to kinetic release, each work is sparked by the dancer’s dynamism, turning movement into presence and image into choreography.
