About this artwork
Instinct is a work in which I explore the transformation we undergo throughout life. I wanted to represent how we are born from vulnerability, but time and experiences push us to adapt, to become stronger and more agile in order to survive in an increasingly demanding environment.
For me, this piece speaks of inner growth, of the necessary evolution to find our place in society, without forgetting that within us there always remains something of… what we were at the beginning.

Adrian Gonzalez torres

Adrian González Torres (Cuba, 1993) showed an early interest in color drawing and sculpture, creating wooden figures inspired by his imagination. He participated in workshops and art competitions until he confirmed his vocation, which solidified when he entered the Professional School of Visual Arts in his province, where he graduated in sculpture. Later, he expanded his practice to include painting, curating, and photography, participating in competitions and group exhibitions. He currently resides in Madrid, where he continues to create and works with the Tape Art technique, developing a geometric, abstract, and figurative style characterized by contrasts, precise lines, and transparencies. His work invites introspection, celebrates the everyday, and expresses a search for balance and harmony within the complexity of life.
