About this artwork
“Beneath” continues my exploration of healing through layers of wax, lime, and time.
It reflects the unseen — the quiet transformation that happens beneath the surface of the skin, the memory, and the soul.
While creating this piece, I worked intuitively, allowing the molten beeswax to flow and settle, to form natural landscapes of texture and light.
The pale blues and soft browns mirror the balance between water and earth — between emotion and… grounding.
This painting speaks about what cannot always be seen: the slow, silent work of renewal that takes place underneath pain.
For me, “Beneath” is a reminder that healing grows in hidden spaces — tender, patient, and deeply alive.
