About this artwork
I created this metaphysical delirium, as always, by image association. In my imagination, an image associated with others, leads in me a creative process. Here, the genesis of the painting is the portrait of the woman, below, who seems to be meditating. Symbolically, the woman is water, yin, incarnation, emotion, interiority, she gives birth, transmits life, as if she carried within her the story of life. We are made of water, strongly, and likewise…
water, in each of its molecules, carries history, like a hard drive, and interacts at the same time with vibrations, waves. "Memory of Water" is a free composition, both gestural and structured, in which the tree, (above: a planet covered with trees), the brunette, the whirlpool, the fish, and the woman meditating at the bottom of the waters dialogue. Painting made with oil and dissolved amber.
