About this artwork
I created "Last Embrace" to celebrate the sun's daily farewell, interpreting the sunset as the most sublime and serene gesture of farewell and promise.
The work captures the moment when light gives way to shadow. The intense, warm colors of the forest represent the final moments of the day, while the cold, deep tones symbolize the embrace of night advancing upon the earth.
The vibrant circular structure is the very essence of the retreating sun.… The outer ring is the expanding residual energy, the sacred and unforgettable aura of the warmth just passed. The golden and protected core, wrapped in an ethereal veil, is the heart of the sun, which, even as it fades from view, remains as a luminous memory and a guarantee of a new cycle.
"Last Embrace" is a meditation on serene transformation: the sun does not disappear, but transforms into pure light, leaving the world a dazzling beauty and the eternal certainty of its return.
