About this artwork

"RING OF FIRE"
One of a series of images taken in 2019 in Ballybunion, county Kerry, Ireland. I decided to create a piece of Art with the Active Retired Group and that in doing so, will maybe end the stereotyping of older people and make the community more aware of how much more there is to people once they have retired, taking time to engage and be inspired by there wisdom. In creating this piece, I sought to harness the raw energy of the natural… world, intertwining it with surreal elements to evoke a sense of wonder and introspection. The fiery ring pulses with vitality, a vivid contrast against the serene blues and earthy tones of the seascape. This juxtaposition invites the viewer to contemplate the coexistence of chaos and calm in our lives, instilling both awe and a meditative peace. Imagine this dynamic energy radiating through your living space, sparking profound reflections with every view.
