About this artwork
Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Everything will be alright again by the time you get married.
"Trying to please everyone is an art no one can master," etc. The latter is my absolute favorite saying, and the cloth embroidered with it is part of my collection of vintage sayings. Messages and quotes of this kind were an integral part of my childhood. Grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and aunts provided us with a fitting piece of… wisdom at every opportunity. Based on this, I began creating my own sayings. Coupled with a penchant for surreal still lifes, this series of transmedia photographs was born. The phrases have adapted to the times and our lives. Now it's "Eat More Insects" or "The Future is Rainbow." Nevertheless, objects belonging to my ancestors still appear in the images. In this way, I honor their memory, and they remain a part of my life in a very modern way.
