Equilibrio Aureo (Golden Equilibrium) was born from my research into the harmony between structure, matter, and light. In this work, I use geometry as a visual language to construct an orderly yet dynamic space, where lines and surfaces interact, creating tension and balance.
Black steel moldings run throughout the composition like structural elements, recalling architecture and the idea of construction. Within this structure, material surfaces… emerge that react to light, creating variation and visual depth.
The gold leaf inserts introduce points of light and symbolic value. Gold becomes an element that breaks the rigidity of the geometry and brings energy to the composition, while the central green represents growth, stability, and development.
With Equilibrio Aureo I wanted to represent the idea that harmony is born from the encounter between different forces: order and movement, structure and freedom, matter and light.
Fabio Tolu, a self-taught artist, stands out for the creation of three-dimensional compositions that blend sculpture, painting and installation, deriving from the world of construction. Using a variety of materials such as resin, stucco, acrylics, metal and LED lights, Tolu creates material and luminous works, where visual and conceptual art merge. His works reflect social, cultural and political themes, transforming ideas and reflections into concrete and powerful images, and inviting the viewer to look beyond the surface to discover hidden truths.
