About this artwork
I conceived Harmonic Cut within Opposing Harmonies as a finely tuned clash: I trace beams of white that traverse a red-violet-blue field and transform the wound into rhythm. I work with acrylic on canvas, layer upon layer, with glazes, scraping, and the thrust of the palette knife; I let the texture vibrate, the color breathe, and the composition tighten without losing its composure. It is my contemporary abstract painting—with echoes of abstract… expressionism—designed so that the eye returns and finds depth, pulse, and presence. An original and unique work, conceived as a manifesto, ready to engage with contemporary spaces and for a collection that seeks pieces with a history.
If you're looking for character and calm at the same time, here's a legacy.
Gabriel Lass, painter and sculptor, began his artistic path outlining houses and gardens, but found in painting a place to eternalize feelings. It uses an aesthetic of expressive abstraction, using vibrant colors and dynamic strokes, often with acrylic, seeking textures and layers with different tools and brushes for visual and tactile impact. His work is an eloquent testimony of his deepest emotions, life experiences and significant moments, building an emotional dialogue with the viewer.
