About this artwork
"In 'Something in Denmark,' the artist has masterfully captured a vibrant and intellectual exploration of the external world. Executed on board with acrylic and latex, the piece is strikingly embellished with heavy mark making.
The artist's inspiration for this composition draws from the enchanting tapestry of colors that nature unfurled outside the window. The crimsons of the winged euonymus shrubs, with their captivating hues of pinks and reds,… harmoniously dance alongside the yellow and golden tones of falling leaves. These rich colors interplay with sporadic shots of gray and dark-colored bark peeking through the lush foliage. This symphony of colors evokes a sense of grandeur, reminiscent of travels not yet embarked upon but fervently wished for. The allusion to Denmark, a place of dreams and desires, imparts an aura of playful anticipation. It invokes recollections of a whimsical ride at Disney, where 'It's A Small World After All' hums softly in the recesses of one's mind.
Jaye Alison Moscariello harnesses water-based mediums like acrylic and watercolor, influenced by a creative upbringing and artistic journey. Through abstraction and intuitive color selection, she captures the interplay between forms, with lines that articulate deep-seated emotions. Her art resonates with joy and upliftment, transforming personal and worldly complexities into visual harmony.
