About this artwork

This piece was the second of two paintings which were commissioned by Degree Art for the Hong Kong branch of HSBC.

The bank wanted two pieces that celebrated Pride, and which were symbolic of it's support of LGBTQ relations. They commissioned me to represent the issue using photographs from the 2019 Pride parade in Taiwan, which was held in celebration of the passing of a bill to legalise same sex marriages.
