About this artwork
Without really drawing inspiration from Piet Mondrian, or perhaps unconsciously, Philippe Fares composed this painting by placing three metal mesh panels on the linen, which give rhythm to the canvas.
He then poured seven square shapes in different colors, tinted in the mass.
The red dot that can be seen affixed to the largest blue quadrilateral is none other than the barycenter of the painting.
It's a nod from the artist, who loves Mathematics… so much.
