With 'Blossom Silence,' I explore the silence of expression and the beauty of the unspeakable. I wanted to create a portrait that doesn't directly scream an emotion, but rather subtly reveals it. The blossoms covering the eyes and floating in the mouth symbolize for me both the silencing of words and the blossoming of inner thoughts and feelings that perhaps cannot be articulated. outside world is perceived through a veil of inner beauty and mystery. The purple and pink tones emphasize a certain dreaminess and melancholy, which isn't sad, but rather thoughtful and poetic.
