Sitting in the middle of the flow, a figure keeps its eyes lowered; the cup becomes the only voice. I framed from a distance and waited for the passage to open, to isolate a simple triptych—hands/cup/cloth—while the crowd, softened, remains in the background. In black and white, color fades in favor of light, lines, and emptiness: the image does not seek the resemblance of a face but the threshold between appearing and withdrawing. This photograph… belongs to the series The Invisible Within Sight, which questions what each person chooses to offer to the gaze of others—and what they take back. A very ordinary scene, but one that gently shifts our way of seeing.

Winner of the Certificate of Artistic Merit - Luxembourg Art Prize 2025 (La Pinacothèque, Luxembourg). Florent Kopp is a French photographer whose work explores the boundaries of the visible and invisible in our daily lives. For many years, his professional journey has led him to observe human behavior, places of transit, and moments that often escape our attention. Today, this observation continues through photography. His images question the place of the individual in public space, solitude in the midst of the crowd, the traces left by human presences and the silent stories that unfold before our eyes. Through his photographic series, notably "The Invisible Within Reach" and "Off-Season," Florent Kopp seeks less to show than to suggest. His photographs invite the viewer to slow down, observe, and construct their own narrative.
