David Forster is a self-taught painter celebrated for his masterful command of watercolour, often blending ground soft pastels with innovative techniques. He orchestrates a “resolution of chaos,” combining gestural splashes, broad-brush classicism, collage-inspired compositions, and vibrant colour contrasts to explore romantic, layered landscapes shaped by human presence and natural history.
