« My work is original and authentic and is developing from the people, places, objects, or experiences I encounter in my life, from formal representation to creative abstraction. »
Peter Holt describes his work as always being representational in one way or another. The painter, who is based in the United Kingdom, creatively develops his compositions from an original observation of reality. Holt's artistic approach exploits the essential qualities of the medium in order to achieve a unity of materials, technique, and subject. He often experiments different techniques for subjects, which leads to a variety of interpretations and variations on a particular theme.
