Yun Hyong-keun

Yun Hyong-keun, a South Korean painter and Hongik University alumna, worked primarily with oil paints on raw canvas or linen. She was associated with the Dansaekhwa movement, using layers of burnt umber and ultramarine blue in smeared, vertical brushstrokes that create meditative, balanced compositions. Her artworks emanate deep tranquility, inviting viewers into a serene space of contemplation and introspection.
