About this artwork
Modern presentation of Icarus. Here Achezegag reconnects with Greek mythology which fascinates him. It adds a human dimension to it, of mutual aid, of solidarity but also of fragility. Indeed, as in the legend Icarus has his wings damaged and here seems to rescue a weakened character.

« These bodies in movement, some in pain, end with hieratic, expressive heads, taking on a universal dimension. In the end, it is through the repetition of the gesture that my doubts dissipate. »
