About this artwork
Fascinated by mythology, Achezegag realized here his vision of the Minotaur. He used his technique of assembling pieces of steel shaped one after the other in order to imprison the pebbles that constitute certain parts of the body (buttocks). These are deliberately exaggerated, disproportionate, making to a certain extent a caricature of this fabulous monster.

Farid Achezegag is an award-winning sculptor based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium and Cyprus. His art explores the human condition made up of several identities that overlap and often collide, which he represents through the puzzle. In addition, Achezegag utilizes the forms of breastplates to symbolize fragility and weakness. He primarily employs steel in the creation of his compositions.
