In The Three Graces, the artist immerses us in a contemporary reinterpretation of a classic myth.
The three figures evoke the Graces of ancient Greece, goddesses associated with beauty, charm, and creativity, but here they depart from traditional canons. The central figure, nude and exposed, embodies an idealized beauty that harks back to art history, albeit presented from a different perspective. Her body, historically an object of desire and admiration,… reveals how the sexualization of women remains deeply ingrained in our visual culture, reinforced by her pose, gaze, and lighting. In this way, she invites us to question imposed standards and recognize intelligence and beauty in all their forms, reminding us that appearance is only one part of a much more complex and multifaceted concept.

Adrian Gonzalez torres
Spain
Adrian González Torres (Cuba, 1993) showed an early interest in color drawing and sculpture, creating wooden figures inspired by his imagination. He participated in workshops and art competitions until he confirmed his vocation, which solidified when he entered the Professional School of Visual Arts in his province, where he graduated in sculpture. Later, he expanded his practice to include painting, curating, and photography, participating in competitions and group exhibitions. He currently resides in Madrid, where he continues to create and works with the Tape Art technique, developing a geometric, abstract, and figurative style characterized by contrasts, precise lines, and transparencies. His work invites introspection, celebrates the everyday, and expresses a search for balance and harmony within the complexity of life.
