About this artwork
"La Notte" is part of about thirty digital photography works I created for a solo exhibition at the Club Conti in Milan held in 2007 and curated by the art historian Prof. Carlo Franza.
Specifically, the image harks back to ancient cultures where the celestial vault with the stars was thought of as a cloak that a goddess carried across the night sky.
In this interpretation of mine, I wanted to create a poetic image of a woman who brings light into… the darkness of the night.
