About this artwork
In this painting, I wanted to capture the quiet atmosphere of the old town of Kranj in the evening, when the light becomes softer and the streets slowly empty. The warm tones of the facades contrast with the cool sky, creating a sense of calm and transition at the end of the day.
I work with oil paint in expressive brushstrokes, focusing on mood and light rather than precise architectural detail. For me, this scene reflects a moment of stillness… and reflection, when the city reveals its intimate, timeless character.
