Misty Morning

In this painting I captured a quiet moment when the town is still half-asleep. The mist softens the outlines of the rooftops and church towers, and the mountains in the background seem to dissolve into the sky. I was drawn to this fragile atmosphere — that brief time when the world feels suspended between night and day.
I worked with thick, expressive brushstrokes to give the surface a living texture.… The layered oil paint allows the light to move across the canvas, just like the morning haze moving through the streets. The muted palette reflects the calm and introspective mood of the scene, while subtle warm tones in the houses suggest hidden warmth within the cool air.
For me, this work is about stillness, memory, and the quiet poetry of European towns at dawn.
