About this artwork
Make a Wish is an avant-garde exploration of theatricality and hope, inspired by the surrealist designs of Viktor & Rolf. This piece utilizes my "Couture Craft" technique, transforming an original 2019 digital illustration into a physical, jewel-like object through hand-enhancements. It features recurring motifs of celestial stars and organic flows, featuring an embroidered heart that invites the viewer to find a moment of wonder and kindness.
This… is an enhanced mixed-media print where digital art meets traditional hand-craft. I hand-painted the background with textured acrylics and added flowing metallic gold accents for a sense of movement. To give the piece a 3D, "couture" finish, I integrated meticulous hand-beading directly onto the surface. These physical interventions ensure that while it begins as a print, it ends as a unique, one-of-a-kind creation
Created on heavy paper and coated with UV resistant spray varnish before embroidery.
